Charter Night - Our Birthday - 15th August
A FUN time was had by many members of the Rotary Family at the Avenue Bowling Club in Bacchus Marsh. Although it was a cold winter's night, the atmosphere inside was warm as we enjoyed each other's company and celebrated the foresight of those who established our Club 52 years ago. Following a light meal (arranged by Glenys Kay) we got down to the serious business of playing cards, scrabble, darts, indoor bowls, hookey, etc. The Senior Citizens weren't invited because they are just too good at card games. Rotarian Geoff Camm was almost banned as well because of his record of success with "Singapore Joe". There were plenty of Rotarians ready and willing to introduce novices to the fierce focus and animal passions that games can evoke - for some!
