Clean Up Australia Day 2008
On March 2nd, many of our members participated in the nation-wide Clean Up Australia Day program. As has been our custom in recent years, we concentrated on the area containing the darley Bridge, the adjacent banks of the lerderderg River, Federation Avenue & Park, and the nearby strecthes of gisborne Road. This area was appropriate, bearing in mind the Rotary Club's ongoing efforts in beautifying the area with tree-planting, riverside tracks, picnic furniture, the Darley Camp information Rotunda and regular working Bees.
The team effort this year was managed by Rotarian Geoff Slee, and we were once again joined by the Guides and some non-alinged members of the community. Congratulations to all involved!
