HISTORY - Rotary Club of Bacchus Marsh
The Rotary Club of Bacchus Marsh was officially established on Friday 12th August 1955, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Essendon at an event which took place at the Masonic Hall in Bacchus Marsh. We have in turn sponsored three new clubs namely; Werribee in 1968, Melton in 1972 and Gisborne in 1977.
There are 31 Rotary Districts in Australia. Bacchus Marsh is in District 9800, which covers a long narrow strip of central Victoria that includes Melbourne and has 70 clubs with approx. 3,000 members.
